mimi1.jpgR.I.P. is inspired by the Gothic Lolita styles popularized by Japanese fashion. Our designs put emphasis on comfort as well as style for those who cannot purchase brand name items from Japan. R.I.P. also wants to offer a larger range of sizing in clothing since Japanese brands do not usually offer clothing for other body types. We would like to put emphasis on craft and that each of our outfits is handmade with care and not mass produced.

W h o . i s . R . I . P . ?

RG . The Seamstress
She is the leader of our project and the one who is heading up all of the sewing, drafting, and creating when it comes to the main clothing line. RG is super anal retentive about getting the clothing right and making sure that the quality is up to par, otherwise it will not go out for sale. She is dedicated to making R.I.P. a success and is a Costume Design and Technology major at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Iris . Designer & Graphic Artist
Designing the look and feel of R.I.P.'s graphics is her main concern. She creates the cute little designs and characters that will recur throughout the clothing as well as promoting the clothing through her designs for the website. She also does the screen printing on the clothing by hand! Iris loves fashion and wants to make clothing that she would love to wear herself! She is also an Illustrator and Graphic Designer and is graduating in the winter from the College of Design at North Carolina State University in Art + Design.

Pau . The Zombie Ferret
She is our helper of all helpers. Pau does everything that we need her to do, be it getting photos, cutting patterns, standing at the booth and helping us shamelessly promote, she does it all! She is also a helping designer in R.I.P. and a film student at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
